Jon Eads CMM (#40) is a recognised leader in the international marina industry with over 30 years’ senior management experience across the UK and Europe. A Certified Marina Manager since 1997, Jon has consistently delivered operational transformation, strong leadership and outstanding customer service throughout his career.

At MDL Marinas, he held senior roles including Group COO and Managing Director of the marina division overseeing 22 marinas in the UK, Spain, and Italy. He introduced industry-leading concepts such as Freedom Berthing and Passeport Escales, drove major acquisitions and developments, and lifted occupancy and profitability to record levels.

Jon later became Commercial Director of Salterns Marina Limited, creating long-term business strategies and new revenue models. From 2014 to 2018 he chaired TheYachtMarket.com, strengthening its business foundations and leading its title sponsorship of TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show.

Since 2019, Jon has been a senior manager at Boatfolk Marinas (recently acquired by Premier Marinas Limited) and has developed complimentary income streams from boatcare, yacht brokerage, EcoMarine and food & beverage outlets.

Jon was President of British Marine (2008–2010), steering the association through the global financial crisis and safeguarding both the London and Southampton Boat Shows at that time. He remains active with TYHA and GMI, contributing to global marina training and assessment.
